The Broker - What It Is
TabTrade went live in Q1 2026. Online broker based in Saint Lucia, licensed through the FSRA. The person who started it is Benjamin Boulter. Before this, he was a senior exec at BlackBull Markets, a well-known broker.
That last detail is relevant. It says the person running this has actually done this before. Does not guarantee anything. But more reassuring than a random name you cannot trace.
The broker opened with Equinix LD4/LD5 connectivity. Same infrastructure institutional desks use. The typical new launch leads with marketing and bonuses. These guys led with infrastructure. Not the typical playbook.
Market coverage: forex, indices, metals, commodities, shares, cryptocurrencies, exchange-traded funds. A wide spread. For something this new, that coverage is solid.
What You Trade On
They offer: MT5, cTrader, and a WebTrader. Both MT5 and cTrader from one account. Most brokers pick one platform. Getting both is useful. Use whichever you prefer.
MetaTrader 5 is what most people know. Full charting, Expert Advisors, tons of scripts and indicators. If you know MT4 or MT5 previously, you know exactly what you are getting.
cTrader is the alternative. Cleaner order book. Faster charting. Built-in algo trading. A lot of traders like it better than MT5 once they try it.
Direct FIX connectivity is available for bots but needs the VIP tier ($25,000 to open). TradingView charting is apparently coming. That will make the platform set when it arrives.
What You Pay
Three account types: Standard, Edge, VIP.
Standard account. Spreads from 1.0 pips. Commission-free. Easy to track. No minimum deposit. Works for beginners.
Edge account. Interbank-style spreads from 0.0 pips average. Flat commission of $3.50 each way. All-in: spread plus $7 per lot round-turn. On majors, the actual interbank spread is often below 0.2 pips. Meaning your all-in cost sometimes sits under half a pip. That is cheap for a broker with no minimum deposit. Most brokers that have spreads this tight ask for $500 or $1,000 upfront. This broker does not.
VIP. $25k to open. FIX connectivity, execution under 20ms, negotiated fees. Not for the average person. Skip it unless you trade institutionally.
Infrastructure
The speed is the thing this broker stands apart. Equinix servers in London. Sub-30ms execution on Edge. Sub-20ms on VIP. That is institutional numbers. Most retail brokers run hundreds of milliseconds.
Does it matter? For short-term trading, yes. The gap between a 30ms fill and a 200ms fill is the difference between. If you swing trade, you will not notice. What matters is they invested in proper execution. That signals they are not cutting corners on the tech.
Pair those fill times with raw spreads at $3.50 per side and what you get is strong. Hardly anyone in this bracket run Equinix connectivity.
Safety
Here is the detail that matters. Tab Trade is under the Financial Services Regulatory Authority of Saint Lucia. That is tier-3. No FCA. No government-backed safety net. If that is a dealbreaker, this broker is not for you. Plenty of FCA-regulated options out there.
But. Benjamin Boulter came from BlackBull Markets, a proper broker. The Equinix infrastructure is not cheap. Scam brokers do not bother with Equinix connectivity. That does not make it safe. It should factor into your assessment.
What you are accepting: you trade regulatory safety. What you get instead: 1:1000 leverage, cheap spreads, $0 to start, Equinix execution. Whether the trade-off makes sense comes down to your priorities.
The Bonus
TabTrade runs bonus funds of up to two thousand dollars. Standard welcome offer. You deposit, they add bonus funds. Standard terms apply: turnover conditions before bonus funds can be taken out. Review the fine print before you deposit.
